The sessions, presentations, Child Accounting templates, PIMS reporting guides (including Safe Schools, Appendix Z Reimagined, CTE Student Fact, Calendar Fact, and Act 16 data management), and general discussions presented at the A/CAPA Fall 2026 Conference at The Hotel Hershey or summarized within this application are compiled by voluntary educational leaders, industry specialists, legal counsel, and representatives of the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) solely for professional enrichment, general administrative training, and professional development.
2. No Legal Advice Rendered
Nothing in this software application or any linked presentation materials constitutes formal legal advice, official statutory rulings, or binding regulatory pronouncements. Interpretation and application of the Pennsylvania Public School Code (including, but not limited to, Sections 1302, 1305, 1306, 1327, 1506, Act 47, and Act 16), Special Education compliance, family/custody laws, and student conduct matters depend upon the specific factual and legal circumstances of each situation.

By accessing, browsing, registering for, or utilizing the A/CAPA Live! web application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Statement.
2. Intellectual Property & Ownership
The A/CAPA Live! application, including but not limited to its underlying software code, user interface, offline caching logic, database schemas, graphic assets, responsive layout, and branding ("Schedule. Attend. Evaluate."), is the exclusive intellectual property and copyright ยฉ 2026 of The Forsyth Group LLC. All rights reserved.
Individual conference presentation curricula, slides, and educational materials remain the intellectual property of A/CAPA and their respective authors. Users are granted a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the app for conference navigation, personal itinerary planning, and session evaluation at the A/CAPA Fall 2026 Conference at The Hotel Hershey. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, copy, or redistribute the software without prior written authorization from The Forsyth Group LLC.
3. Acceptable Use
Attendees agree to use the application solely for lawful purposes associated with attending the conference. You agree not to attempt to breach or circumvent administrative access controls, manipulate feedback or evaluation scoring, flood server endpoints, or impersonate other conference attendees or PDE personnel.
4. Act 48 Continuing Education Records
Attendees acknowledge that estimated Act 48 continuing professional education hours calculated within the app are derived from sessions added to your schedule and evaluated. Attendees remain solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their submitted PDE Professional Personnel ID (PPID) and verifying credited hours in the PDE Professional Education Record Management System (PERMS).
5. "As Is" Operation & Limitation of Liability
The application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While built with robust offline capabilities, The Forsyth Group LLC and A/CAPA do not warrant uninterrupted operation or compatibility with all device configurations. In no event shall The Forsyth Group LLC, its officers, employees, or A/CAPA be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use this application.
1. Information We Collect
When you register to use A/CAPA Live!, we collect:
- Attendee Identification: Full Name, School District / Local Educational Agency (LEA), Professional Role, and optional Email Address.
- PDE Act 48 PPID: Your 7-digit Professional Personnel ID issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, necessary for submitting and verifying continuing professional education credits.
- Conference Activity: Sessions added to your personal schedule, session attendance timestamps, and evaluation feedback (star ratings, speaker clarity, and qualitative feedback).
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used strictly to:
- Provide personalized itinerary management and calendar (.ics) sync.
- Calculate estimated Act 48 continuing education hours.
- Provide aggregated, de-identified evaluation metrics to speakers and conference leadership to improve future professional development.
- Generate verified attendance rosters for Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Act 48 compliance audits.
3. No Sale or Commercial Marketing
We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade attendee personal data to any commercial vendor, marketing platform, or third-party sponsor.
4. Device Storage & Offline Cache
A/CAPA Live! uses browser localStorage and Progressive Web App (PWA) cache storage to allow full offline agenda viewing and feedback recording if hotel Wi-Fi is temporarily unavailable. Data saved locally synchronizes securely when your device re-establishes internet connectivity.
5. Data Security & Administrative Protections
Data transmitted to the cloud server is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS protocols. Administrative access to attendee rosters and evaluation datasets is restricted via role-based access control (RBAC) and secured with cryptographic scrypt password hashing.
